Our three favourite garden walks on the Quantocks.
If you're in the area, enjoy gardening and fancy spending some time in the fresh air, here are our top three garden walks on the Quantocks.
Come rain or shine Hestercombe Gardens is a firm favourite. It's made up of three unique gardens, which span three centuries of history and design. After much restoration work, the gardens now provide great examples of contrasting styles.
It's also perfect for dog walking through its woodland areas and on its picturesque pathways.
The Walled Gardens of Cannington
It has a mix of classic and contemporary features, as well as a sub-tropical walk and a Victorian style fernery.
The gardens lie within the grounds of a medieval priory and many of the original buildings and walls of the gardens remain. They look equally as fabulous in the winter, as they do in the summer, so it's a real treat all year round.
Fyne Court is always a top recommendation for those guests who stay with us with young families. It's great for blowing away the cobwebs and entertaining the children at the same time.
The wild gardens are our absolute favourites and everyone enjoys discovering the folly and the boathouse, part of the original Arcadian landscape gardens.
This is another location that's perfect for all year round. Visitors can see the court transform through the season, with a blanket of snowdrops appearing in February and gorgeous displays of bluebells and wild garlic appearing through May.
