We visited this country pub for lunch and to catch up with a friend. Despite living within a few miles we had never visited the pub before and did so on a family recommendation. We were not disappointed. Whilst being down a country lane it is well signposted. It has quite an extensive menu with 'Specials' and provides service which is friendly to humans and dogs. Two of us opted for chilli which was one of the 'Specials' that day. It was nice to have 'proper' chunks of beef rather than the usual mince. It was beautifully presented with individual pots of nachos and a dip and a 'dome' of rice rather than the usual 'bed.' Our friend had 'traditional' fish and chips.' There was also plenty of pudding choice. My pannacotta was yummy. This was a mid week visit and the pub was fairly quiet. Service was leisurely which suited us as we were having a 'catch up' with a friend. Try it if you're happy to take your time to enjoy a good meal in the country.Jill W/ Bridgwater
We found this place on Trip advisor and decided to give it a go. We did have trouble finding it as the satnav took us into the middle of a nearby housing estate. However our perseverance was well rewarded. The staff were welcoming. The food was very good and nicely presented, The Goats Cheese starter was exceptional and the puddings a little mundane but overall the evening was very enjoyable. I will visit again when next in the area.Mr Walton/ Leeds
